Worksite Wellness Program
Worksite Wellness programs are becoming increasingly popular for a variety of reasons. Not only can these programs be utilized as an internal marketing strategy, they also can have a direct effect on health care costs by encouraging early detection of health problems and promoting positive lifestyle changes. Early detection and lifestyle changes can in turn save business and industry millions of dollars in reduced insurance costs, absenteeism, and turnover rates. Palo Alto County Health Systems's (PACHS) Business Health Service (BHS) will assist your company in developing a Wellness Program tailored to fit your needs.
The BHS staff will visit your company to determine which components of our Wellness offerings best suit your workforce needs. Services we can provide include a Wellness blood panel (consists of cholesterol and lipid panels, and others, for a total of 34 tests), blood pressure check, colo-rectal screen, PSA (prostate cancer screen), mammogram (breast cancer screen), body composition analysis (percentage lean mass to body fat) and health risk appraisal, EKG (electrocardiogram), and thyroid blood test.
Results from a Wellness Program are delivered to your company upon completion, and a BHS nurse is available to review results with participants.
Immunizations offered include Hepatitis B vaccine, influenza and pneumonia vaccinations, and tetanus boosters as needed.
If your company is interested in starting an annual Wellness Program or has immunization needs, contact PACHS's BHS at 712.852.5469.
