Post-Offer Screens
PACHS Business Health Service offers a Post-Offer Screening specifically tailored to fit your company needs.
Basic components of the screen include:
- Health History Evaluation
- Nursing Assessment (Includes nursing physical assessment, height, weight, BP, vision screen)
- Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Screening and Testing (Includes dexterity, strength & flexibility testing, evaluation of abilities based on job description)
- Cardiac Exercise Screening (Includes cardiac monitoring during exercise)
Optional Testing Available:
- Drug Testing
- Audiometric Testing
- Pulmonary Function Testing
- Respiratory Medical Evaluation
Keep in mind companies can mix and match any of the above components to meet their specific needs.
The primary purpose of the screen is to identify conditions that would put the worker or co-workers at risk in the workplace. We ask businesses to provide a detailed copy of the job requirements for which the employee is being evaluated. This is an important part of the screening process and is used by our professional staff to determine if the employee safely fits the job. The health history form provides documentation of pre-existing conditions. This is a valuable tool for establishing baseline data in the event of employee disability, disease or injury. Routine assessments can be performed to keep health status current.
When the screening is completed, a summary report is sent to the employer noting ability to perform work, accommodations or risk areas. The employee is informed of abnormal findings and recommendations for further evaluations may be made.
All screens are performed in compliance with current ADA requirements. For this reason, companies most often request that employee medical records be kept by our office and the summary sheet be faxed to the employer. It is the employer's responsibility to ensure that ADA and other legal requirements are adhered to.
